Ingredients:
Teriyaki Sauce
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoon water
2 tablespoon rice vinegar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon corn starch
Remaining Ingredients:
1 1/2 - 2 pounds chicken
Directions:
In a small sauce pan, combine all teriyaki ingredients
Whisk until combined
Cook over medium heat to dissolve sugar
Continue whisking gently until bubbles form and mixture thickens
Remove from heat and transfer to a clean bowl to cool
Slice chicken breasts into 1/2 inch strips
Place chicken strips in ziploc bag and add 1/2 cup of the teriyaki sauce
Keep 1/4 cup of teriyaki sauce to glaze with after grilling
Marinate chicken for 1 hour or overnight
Soak bamboo skewers in cold water for at least 30 minutes
Skewer chicken strips with prepared bamboo skewers
Grill for 3-5 minutes on each side or until done
Brush reserved teriyaki sauce over cooked chicken
